  • 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. fresh thyme leaves, chopped
  • 1 medium sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, unpeeled
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c. low-fat sour cream, optional
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise, optional
  • 4 tbsp. Roasted Garlic Kraut
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Bread or pita chips, for serving

Roasted Garlic Kraut


  • Combine oil, thyme, and pepper in bowl; mix ingredients. Brush mixture over onion. On medium-high heat, grill onion and garlic until tender and slightly charred.

  • Transfer onion and garlic to plate to cool.

  • Peel garlic and place in food processor along with the onion.
  • Pulse just until chopped. Add Roasted Garlic Kraut, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and salt; pulse until combined but not smooth.
  • Transfer to serving bowl. Garnish with Roasted Garlic Kraut.
  • Serve cold or warm with bread or pita chips.
  • Enjoy!


Onions: Use a sweeter one such as Vidalia, or use white or red. They all have different strengths and flavor levels, so you'll get different results. But they're all great!
